Marcelo Bielsa switched things up against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday evening, and Leeds fans are stunned by the performance of Tyler Roberts.
Just last summer, Whites fans were looking at Roberts as a wasted signing. The young Welshman didn’t manage a single minute of Championship action after joining the club mid-way through the campaign, and his on-going injury problems were becoming a major concern.
He has stepped up big time this season though, returning to fitness and playing a variety of roles in Bielsa’s XI.
Roberts has played up front, as a number ten and on the wing this season, and he put yet another new experience under his belt on Saturday, sliding into midfield alongside Matuesz Klich.
The youngster’s energy and drive made a huge difference, as he racked up a remarkable six shots, two key passes, two dribbles, one tackle and one interception, per Whoscored.
