West Brom boss Darren Moore should make a move for Papy Djilobodji, who is a free-agent after being sacked by Sunderland last month.
What’s the situation?
Although they sit second in the Championship, the Baggies have conceded 17 times in just 12 games, but have been bailed out by their attacking prowess which has seen them net an incredible 31 goals in the league.
If the West Midlands side are to get promoted straight back to the Premier League though they will need to tighten up at the back, and signing Djilobodji could help bolster their options at the centre of defence.
Moore now seems to have settled on the 3-4-1-2 formation to get the most out of his attacking players, but this relies on three mobile central defenders and players such as Ahmed Hegazi and Kyle Bartley have clearly struggled slightly to adapt.

A risk
There is no doubt that it would be a risk for West Brom to offer a contract to the former Chelsea defender after his actions at Sunderland, where he failed to return for pre-season training until September and then comprehensively failed a fitness test.
The Black Cats had just been relegated to League One though and the Baggies, who would be making their most controversial signing since James McClean if they did get a deal done, should give Djilobodji a chance to get his career back on track.
The 29-year-old is a Senegal international with 17 caps and went to the Stadium of Light for £8m from Chelsea in the summer of 2016, proving that he could certainly be good enough to help with a promotion push.
So, West Brom fans, would you support a move for Djilobodji to shore up the defence or is his attitude too big a worry? Have your say by voting in the poll below.
