Whenever your club is linked to a player who’s scored a goal of the season contender, you’re going to be ecstatic. That’s exactly the case with Arsenal at the moment, as the club is being linked with a January swoop for Villarreal’s in-form midfielder, Pablo Fornals, according to The Daily Mirror.
Pablo Fornals is a player on the rise. The Spanish midfielder has shown exactly what he’s all about over the past few seasons and now it looks like this summer would be the perfect opportunity for him to take the step up from his current club to a big European side such as Arsenal. Given his form and his obvious bag loads of talent, it’s hard to see The Gunners signing Fornals unopposed as we approach the January window.
According to the report in The Mirror, Fornals could be available for a fee of around £18 million, which is hardly bank-breaking for a club that just one year previously splashed out almost £60 million to secure the signature of one of Europe’s most in-demand forwards in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Whilst Fornals wouldn’t come with the same expectations as Auba, he could do a similar job in terms of impact with his direct play and impact from midfield.

A lot of Arsenal fans would love to sign Fornals and will be hoping he can have the impact desired as The Gunners chase a top-four spot this season.
