With Norwich City currently two points clear at the top of the Championship table, it goes without saying that they are well in the midst of a promotion race with the chasing pack close behind them – winter reinforcements will be necessary if they are to maintain their form.
What’s the word, then?
It is not particularly true that the Canaries rely solely on Teemu Pukki and Jordan Rhodes for goals – although their top scorer behind the striking duo is centre-back Timm Klose with three strikes to his name.
Whilst there is nothing wrong with having two poachers up top ahead of a creative midfield and a resolute defence when battling at the right end of the table, a season in England’s second tier is a tough, physically demanding one with the potential for injuries aplenty.

Who should they bring in?

Celtic’s number 49 is a direct, speedy winger whose finishing has come on leaps and bounds in recent times. Even in the games that he doesn’t find the net, there is something about Forrest that would be reminiscent of former Canaries star Redmond, who always troubled opponents with his take-on ability even when he didn’t find the net.
His presence on the pitch would do wonders for Norwich’s promotion push, and would undoubtedly create a whole barrage of chances for Pukki and Rhodes to gobble up.
